International Women's Apparel, Inc.
An evolving business climate brought home the realization that an extensive rewrite of International Women’s Apparel’s mainframe applications was necessary. Trading partners enhanced support was achieved through EDI catalogues, which met the rapidly changing EDI requirements. Management also concluded optimizing any of their current applications, or adding new ones to accommodate a growing business would prove to be too costly for IWA. Rather than struggle with their existing system, they decided to investigate a new solutions provider, who, at a bare minimum, needed to meet the following prerequisites.
Deep exposure to industry trends
Experience with large clients
The application must be easily customizable, and maintainable
The IAS implementation, carried out by a group of RLM business analysts, met the primary goals of International Women’s Apparel.
A few of the benefits realized by IWA were:
Elimination of central data entry for all applications
Business growth without a comparable headcount increase
Ease of information access for managerial decision-making
IAS met the goals and requirements of International Women’s Apparel, as well as its 135 users. The bottom line for upper management was a fully functional system, delivered on time and within budget.

Harve Benard.
Due to rapid growth, and increasing costs associated with scattered warehouses, Harve Benard decided to consolidate their warehousing processes into one 400,000 square foot hi-tech distribution center. In their search for a software system, Harve Benard had the following requirements that needed to be met…
1. A fully featured allocation system with user defined priorities
2. Completely automated warehouse processes
3. RF scanning
4. Real time access to warehouse data, no waiting for overnight interface jobs to supply reports
5. The ability to do vendor managed inventory and auto-replenishment
6. Full EDI compliance
7. Implementation had to be completed in 3 months
8. A wide array of reporting and inquiry options
9. A software company with a proven track record supporting the apparel industry
Harve Benard selected RLM Apparel Software’s Warehouse Activity Management System (WhAMS). A team of experts made
up of RLM business analysts, and Harve Benard project leaders carried out implementation. The project was completed under
the three-month deadline, and under budget. RLM was able to meet all of their software requirements. Harve Benard also uses
RLM’s Integrated Apparel System (IAS), the parent product that spurred the development of WhAMS.
